Inspired by her multicultural background, heritage and travels, Maria Lobo creates abstract artworks on canvas and paper.  Born and raised in Hong Kong, of Eurasian heritage, Maria Lobo’s art training took her to Italy, Spain, Canada and the USA. Maria's artworks have been exhibited internationally. She creates site specific commissioned works for residences, as well as public spaces.

Part of my Waterworks collection.  These artworks are created using the same techniques as Asian Batik fabrics, where wax is used to block off areas before color is added. Paying homage to my Asian roots, I am creating flowing patterns reminiscent of water. Flowing patterns and balance are my aim with this collection.
